Victoria is introducing stronger minimum energy efficiency standards for rental properties. Two of the upcoming requirements directly relate to upgrades Green Vision Pro can currently assist eligible properties with through the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program.
At the start of a new rental agreement, or when an agreement converts to month-to-month, showerheads will need to meet the applicable minimum 4-star WELS requirement.
New draughtproofing requirements begin applying to external doors, windows and unsealed wall vents under the applicable rental standards.
Government requirements for rental properties, administered by Consumer Affairs Victoria, covering more than showerheads and draughtproofing.
A separate, long-running Victorian Government program under which accredited providers can deliver eligible energy upgrades.
